The Member-at-Large Program encourages all active members of Lambda Alpha International to nominate one candidate for Member-at-Large status during each year. The nominee will be considered for membership by the Executive Committee of Lambda Alpha. Members-at-Large can be nominated from any country, region or state as long as they do not reside within an active chapter's jurisdiction.

Members-at-Large will be invited to affiliate with an active chapter of their choice so they can be informed of local as well as international activities. The chapters will send all regular mailings to Members-at-Large who choose to affiliate with them.

Members-at-Large will also be placed in the Lambda Alpha directory in the Member-at- Large section and will be placed in a special Member-at-Large section of Lambda Alpha's website, www.LAI.org. The Lambda Alpha directory will provide a who's who listing for each Member-at-Large in addition to primary address information. In effect, Members-at-Large will have a virtual chapter online and have access to the chapter of their choice of affiliates.

Members-at-Large would be allowed to nominate up to two new members each year from their region in addition to their one nomination outside their region.

The initiation fee for Members-at-Large will cover chapter as well as International services. The Member-at-Large initiation and dues rate is One Hundred Twenty-Five Dollars ($125.00).
