Thompson A. Dyke

Thompson A. Dyke has over 45 years of experience as an urban planner and landscape architect.  He has prepared 60 comprehensive plans, 35 master park and open space plans, designed more than 35,000 acres for real estate developers and provided expert testimony on 200 zoning and condemnation cases.  He founded Thompson Dyke & Associates located in Chicago in 1981 and serves as Chairman.  He was Chairman of the Northbrook Plan Commission and on the advisory board of the Metropolitan Planning Council, ULI, Corlands and the Open Lands Project.  Tom is on the board of the Harris Bank a Life Trustee of Lake Forest Academy, a national director of the American Society of Consulting Planners and serves on two different condominium boards where he resides.  He is on the Landscape Architecture Resource Committee and the Urban Planning Advisory Council for the University of Illinois, a member of the APA, ASLA and a 50-year member of the AICP.

Tom was initiated into the Ely Chapter of Lambda Alpha in 1975, he was sponsored for membership by Leonard R. McDonald and Burton Rubloff, He served as Ely Chapter president (1979) as well as International President in 2000-2001.
