LAND ECONOMICS FOUNDATION (LEF)
LEF is a not-for-profit charitable foundation organized to administer an investment
fund which provides grants for research projects related to land economics. Over the
past three years LEF has committed capital (5% of assets) to a number of significant
and worthwhile endeavors across the country on a matching basis with other non-profit
entities.
The applications can be submitted by LAI members, or Chapters, asking for Grants to
further Land Economics goals. LAI also accepts grant applications from other
sources.such as non profits, schools
The Board of Directors of LEF reviews the applications, and then submits qualified
applications to the LEF Board of Trustee's for approval.
Many factors go into this process, amount requested, availability of funds, long
term commitments, etc. Samples of funded applications can be reviewed by clicking
