Anecdotes:
It's Not What You Know…………………….
One of the most important benefits of LAI membership is the relationships
and resources it provides. Recently, Larry Lund (Ely Chapter) of
Real Estate Planning discovered just how valuable LAI's 'network
of relationships' can be. When Larry needed a real estate consultant
fluent in Korean for a proposal for a Wholesale Farmers' Market
in New York, he called Fran Brooks whom he met at the New York Weekend
Experience. Fran identified four Korean graduate students at NYU's
real estate program., and Larry selected Mr. Yo-Jung Jay Kim. Mr.
Kim's research in ethnic retail marketing was an important addition
to the project team that also included Jon DeVries of URS Corp.
