MHBC Planning, Urban Design & Landscape Architecture

Panelists:

Ira Kagan
Owner, Kagan Shastri, Barristers and Solicitors

Specializing in municipal law among other areas of practice, Mr. Kagan has recently been involved with a variety of land use issues related to the introduction of cannabis retailing. We look forward to exploring the disruptive nature of this change to the city planning.

John Archer
Chief Development Officer, 360 Collective

Mr. Archer believes that evolutionary city building is about confidence in the future. His work focuses on being able to see the potential for positive change, taking informed risks, and knowing how to translate economic fundamentals into tangible value of built form, variety of uses, and placemaking.

Matt Rubinoff
President, Tusk Global Ltd. and Founder of STACKT

Mr. Rubinoff is bringing a temporary shipping container market to the Bathurst and Front area. It is a visionary complex of retail, restaurants, studio spaces. What were the challenges of bringing this unconventional project (now under construction!) through the approval process?
