Aloha Chapter met for its quarterly luncheon program at the Oahu Country Club to hear Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell address transportation and housing issues.

Our Lambda Alpha International Golden Gate Family has lost two of our Tribal Elders. These two individuals were remarkable luminaries within this land economics community as well as philanthropists and leaders within the San Francisco Civic and Jewish communities. We are thankful for how they shaped our built environment, and ask that you pause to remember the significant contributions that these folks made to our city, our culture and our LAI family.

Brian Lopez and James Riggs of Osprey Property Company spoke to the Baltimore LAI Chapter about Affordable Housing in general, with an in-depth look into Franklin Lofts & Flats, a project currently under construction in the City.

LAI Atlanta Chapter member Nancey Green Leigh, PhD, FAICP, Georgia Institute of Technology reports on her recently completed study, entitled DeKalb County Industrial Land and Economy Study (August 2016) for DeKalb County and the Decide DeKalb Development Authority.

This past month, two busloads of Lambda Alphans from around the world had the opportunity to see how a once-down-trodden major metropolitan area can be resuscitated – actually come back from the dead.

Mercedes-Benz Stadium (MBS) General Manager Scott Jenkins gave an empowering Sustainability: an economic driver presentation at the February 15 LAI Atlanta Chapter luncheon meeting.

Robert was honoured by Simcoe Chapter with the President’s Award 2016 for his remarkable career and his influence on Toronto’s growth.

Two major figures in Baltimore’s development history have died in recent months. David Kornblatt and Al Copp both had a significant impact on the development of Baltimore’s downtown and the adjoining areas of the waterfront now known as the Inner Harbor.
