Join us to learn about the importance of Palo Verde Nuclear Power, the good, bad and ugly of the renewable energy push, insight into the current load requirements and how they plan to expand capacity, and new efforts on technology to expand capacity, increase load efficiencies and battery storage.

 

Megan Lubbers

APS

Instrument and Controls Engineer at Palo Verde Generating Station, Long Term Plant Reliability Team. She is also currently serving as Public Information Officer on the board of North America Young Generation in Nuclear. Megan was born and raised in Tempe, AZ and got her Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Arizona. In her free time, she loves hiking around the phoenix area and playing board games with friends and family. 

Michelle Burkeen 
APS

Michelle Burkeen is APS Key Account Supervisor which focuses in developing partnerships and offering the best customer experience to Arizona's top Companies.

Prior to joining Customer Experience, she spent 7 years in Transmission and Distribution at APS where she ran the Distribution Planning engineering team that plans the distribution electrical grid for the State.

 Michelle graduated from California State University Chico with a bachelor's degree in electrical and computer engineering.

Michelle is married with a 7 month old, and enjoys traveling with her family.
