April’s luncheon presentation will be ‘Game Changing Architecture’, discussing the impact of large-scale projects. The diverse panel made up of industry professionals will share their experiences working on some of the most high profile projects in Chicago and beyond. The panel will share information on trends affecting the architecture and landscape architecture practices as well as deepen our understanding of getting complex projects off the ground.

Moderator:  Lee Bey

Lee Bey is one of Chicago’s leading voices on architecture, design, and urban policy. He is a respected expert, writer, and photographer of the built environment. He has been the host of Architecture 360, a weekly podcast on the Rivet Radio app and has written for the the architecture blog The Urban Observer. Bey is former architecture critic for the Chicago Sun-Times and had served a deputy chief of staff for architecture and urban planning under Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley; worked as director of governmental affairs for Skidmore Owings and Merrill; and was the Executive Director for the Chicago Central Area Committee. He has served as the Associate Director for Special Projects at the University of Chicago, is a professor at SAIC and actively consults with various agencies and neighborhood organizations on architecture and urban design related topics.
