Have You Calculated Your Greenhouse Gas Emissions?
And other Mandates of the Maryland Climate Solutions Now Act of 2022
Stuart Kaplow, Esquire, Stuart D. Kaplow, P.A.

Maryland law now requires commercial building owners to annually report greenhouse gas emissions, beginning with 2024 emissions, achieve a 20% reduction before 2030, and be Net Zero by 2040. The reality is most building owners have never calculated their GHG emissions!

This program will explore how greenhouse gases are calculated and reported as well as introducing required changes to leases and contracts of sale to comply with this entirely new area of government regulation.

And if time allows, the group will consider the opportunities that exist in the multi-Billion dollar move to decarbonize the economy.

Stuart Kaplow is a known environmental attorney based in Maryland.  He is a fun and informative speaker on innovative solutions to the environmental issues of the day, including speaking to a wide variety of audiences on the topics of decarbonizing the economy and business greenhouse gas reduction targets (yes, there are greenhouse gas emission jokes). More than merely a lecturer (although he was a law school professor for more than twenty years) Stuart is often sought out as a motivational speaker to spread the word about sustainability, weaving the saga of his mountain climbing experiences, from Kilimanjaro to Everest and K2, and many summits and mountaineering adventures in between with his knowledge of green, into fast paced and fun packed public talks.
